Chairwoman Detective Inspector Gill Barratt

Gill joined the MPS in 1988 and has undertaken a variety of postings, mainly as a detective.  She served as a constable on T District before undertaking a variety of detective roles, including Child Protection; Central Fraud Squad; DCC4 complex murders; SCD7 & 8 Financial Investigation Unit and SCD8 Shootings. Gill was elected Fed Rep for Trident in 2007 and was elected to the JEC in 2011.  In 2014 she was elected Chair of the Inspectors Branch Board.   She has a particular interest in discipline and unsatisfactory performance. Away from work she has a smallholding in Hampshire and a love of all things French (except Dawn).

General Secretary Detective Inspector Siobhan Sagar

Siobhan joined Surrey Constabulary in 1987, transferring to the Metropolitan Police in 1990.  She has served in uniform and detective posts in all three ranks. She became a Federation Representative in 2008 and was elected to the IBB Executive in 2009.  She leads for the IBB on the Training and Promotion, Constitution and the Member Services sub-committees.  She also sits on the Firearms sub-committee. Siobhan is an experienced representative and has been involved as a representative to many officers across the MPS, including misconduct, performance, defamation, equalities and employment tribunals. Deputy General Secretary Inspector John Partington

John was elected as the Deputy General Secretary in June 2013, having previously been the Hounslow IBB representative and a member of the Board’s Executive. He is the IBB lead on the Training sub-committee. He also sits on the Constitution, Equality, Member Services  and Promotion & Training Sub-committees. On behalf of the Inspectors Branch Board he has responsibility for the posting processes affecting Inspectors and Chief Inspectors.  He is also a Federation Course Director and trained negotiator, and is a Trustee to Inspectors Central Committee Funds.  John has been a Federation representative since 2007 and since then has dealt with numerous misconduct, unsatisfactory performance and equality issues ranging from IPCC investigations and misconduct hearings to local issues dealt with by line… Read More…

8 Region Representatives

Inspector Geoffrey Stuttaford Geoff joined the Metropolitan Police in 1979 and has served on T, B, F and V districts mainly in uniform operational roles. He performed a wide variety of roles in all three ranks including managing reliefs, sectors, Level II public order etc. He first became a Federation Representative as an Inspector in 2000. He was elected to the IBB executive in 2005. Geoff has been representing our Branch Board at national level on the Inspectors Central Committee since May 2008 and in May 2014 he was elected to the position of Chairman. The IBB Executive Committee

The following eight officers complete the IBB Executive Committee, having been correctly elected by the Board at the first meeting of this current tri-ennial period. Inspector Hazel Elliott – SO1 Hazel is the IBB’s Vice Chair.  Hazel  sits on the Discipline and Equality JEC Sub Committees and also represents the IBB on the MPS Relief Board. Inspector John Frost – Islington John leads for the IBB on the JEC Discipline Sub Committee.  He also represents the IBB on the MPS Relief Board and as a trustee of the Metropolitan Benevolent Fund.
