PFEW Ballot of members- on line facility suspended Regretably technical issues have been identified that have necessitated the PFEW, today- Thursday 3rd April suspending the 'On-line' facility of their poll of members views about the on going pay dispute.

As a result it will now be necessary for us to revert to a postal ballot and accordingly we will endeavor to despatch to each and every one of our members within the next two weeks, a paper copy of the questionaire including a free post envelope for you to return it directly to the independent administrators of the ballot- Ipsos-Mori.

Despite this unwelcome hinderance to the process we would still encourage all our members to ensure they and their colleagues take advantage of the opportunity to participate in this historic ballot of rank & file police officers views.

The scheduled date for the ballot to close has accordingly be delayed a week and will now conclude on 2nd May  but we still hope to have the  results in time  for them to be announced at our annual conference at Bournemouth beginning on the 20th of May. It is clear though that despite the extra week responses will still need to be submitted quickly after receipt if they are to reach Ipsos-Mori before the closing date!

I believe it is vital that all our members have the opportunity to contribute to this historic event & hence would invite anyone not in receipt of a 'ballot paper' by Thursday 17th April to contact our office and we will send you, to an address of your choice, another copy by first class post.

The “Have Your Say”  newsletter which contains a lot of information that you may find useful in assisting you to make your decision on which way to vote can be accessed by clicking this link.

I sincerely apologise to all my members for the inconvienience caused by this technical hitch and assure you that I shall do everything possible to ensure that the 'voice' of the Met Inspecting ranks is accurately and adequately recorded despite this hiccup.

I thank you in anticipation of your forebearance, patience & participation
