Pay dispute Ballot Result

 

 

The eagerly awaited results of the 'Ballot' have been published and they give a clear and unequivical mandate to the PFEW leaders.  The full details will be released in due course but the headlines are set out below:

 

Nationally there was 55% response rate

 

Question 1 was

 

"Do you think decisions made by Police Arbitration Tribunals should be binding on the Government?"

 

Result

 

93% of responders felt it should  (95% in the Metropolitan)

3% thought not and                   (2% ) 

4% had no opinion                     (3% )  

 

Question 2 was

 

"In the absence of binding arbitration do you wish the Police Federation to start to lobby for full industrial rights?"

 

Result

 

83% of responders answered YES  (90% in the Metropolitan)

11% answered NO                        (8% )

3% didn't know                             (2% )
