ICC Well Being at Work Survey results

I trust that many of you will have taken the opportunity to contribute to the Well being at work stress survey that our colleagues within the Inspectors Central Committee of the PFEW recently commissioned.

I would like to thank the 1051 of you who did take the time to respond. The data you provided made for interesting reading.

The survey was designed around the widely recognised Health & Safety Executive (HSE) stress standards that are measured on a sliding scale of severity with a rating of 10 being the highest and 1 the lowest.

In each and every one of the standards measured by the survey Met inspectors scored 8 and above. In three significant areas, Long hours, Technical overload & Unclear expectations from management- the Stress rating was actually at its highest -10

From here we shall be providing the Service with a copy before discussing with them its findings and challenging them to address the specific areas of concern
