The following benefits and premium are correct as of 1/04/2007 £125,000 payable on death from ANY cause £125.000 payable for permanent total disablement £25,000 payable on loss of, or use of, one or more limbs and/or eyes £55 payable per night for up to 7 nights if hospitalise immediately following an accident £27.50 per week, payable for up to 104 consecutive weeks following the date of an incident whilst unfit for duty, excluding the first 7 days
Claims under the accident insurance should be notified within 3 months of the date of the occurance. All the above benefits are Tax free £ 10.00 per month by deduction from pay ( shown as GIS) The full wording of the policy can be Inspected at the Metropolitan Police Federation offices at York House Bromley by prior appointment.
