Geoff joined the Metropolitan Police in 1979 and has served on T, B, F and V districts mainly in uniform operational roles. He performed a wide variety of roles in all three ranks including managing reliefs, sectors, Level II public order etc. He first became a Federation Representative as an Inspector in 2000. He was elected to the IBB executive in 2005 and was elected Chairman in 2007. He leads on the policing sub-committee. Geoff has been representing our Branch Board at National level on the Inspectors Central Committee since May 2008 and in February 2009 he was elected to the position of Deputy General Secretary. Nationally he represents the Inspectors on the Policing sub-committee matters and in particular the 2012 Olympics arrangements. Outside of work he enjoys cycling and clay pigeon shooting. |
